The Green Hornet, produced in 1940, by Universal movie is a serial based on the highly popular The Green Hornet radio series, written by George W. Trendle.

The Green Hornet's real identity is Britt Reid, a newspaper publisher. He is aided in his fight against crime by his Korean valet Kato.

In this serial, the Green Hornet and Kato have exposed a number of what appear to be separate crimes, but they are in fact connected. Behind them all is 'The Leader', who is the criminal mastermind of 'The Syndicate'.
